Returns & Warranty
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Every Atelier Movement reformer and machine is made to order to the frame, upholstery, configuration and any branding you choose. This policy explains returns, changes, transit damage and our limited warranty.
Returns
All sales are final. Because each machine is built to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges, including for change of mind, incorrect sizing or space constraints. Please check the dimensions, weight and access requirements before ordering. Your limited warranty still covers manufacturing defects, as described below.
Changes and cancellations
You may ask to change or cancel an order before production begins. If we approve a cancellation, we will refund the amount paid, less any non-refundable payment processing fees. Once production has started, an order cannot be changed or cancelled.
Damage in transit
- Inspect your delivery when it arrives and note any visible damage to the packaging or product on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
- Email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos or a short video of the damage and packaging. Please keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.
- For damage reported this way, we will arrange replacement parts or a repair at no cost to you. Damage that is not noted on delivery or reported within 48 hours may not be covered.
Limited warranty
What is covered. Atelier Movement warrants that your machine will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including studio use, for 5 years on the frame and 1 year on springs and included accessories, from the date of delivery.
Who is covered. This warranty applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase and is not transferable.
What we will do. If a covered defect appears, we will, at our option, repair the defective part or supply a replacement part. This is your sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. Labor, on-site service, installation and shipping outside the contiguous United States are not included unless we agree otherwise in writing.
What is not covered.
- Normal wear and tear of parts such as upholstery, ropes, straps, loops and wheels, and springs after the first year (replacements are available to order)
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, improper assembly, lack of maintenance, or modification or repair by anyone other than us
- Use beyond the rated capacity, outdoors, in excessive moisture or outside the product's intended purpose
- Damage that occurs while moving or relocating the machine after delivery
- Cosmetic changes from normal use, and natural variation in the grain, tone and aging of wood
Limitations. Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
How to make a claim
Email info@ateliermovement.com with your order number, a short description of the issue and photos or a short video. We may ask for additional information, or for the defective part to be returned, before supplying a replacement.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
